Christmas in Iowa, part 2

After Christmas, we spent a few more days in McGregor. Jonah and Cora both enjoyed playing with more second cousins. And I enjoyed good food, spending time with family, and not enough sleep. (All the traveling must have stressed Cora out - she did NOT sleep well, which means I did not get much sleep.) We miss being just a few hours from family, so it was nice to see the NE Iowa crew again. The kids loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa - and Mom enjoyed having a few extra helping hands around.

Lots of book time and play time with Grandma and Grandpa
The (almost/just barely) one-year-olds had fun playing together. My cousin's daughter, Gretel, and Cora were born 15 days apart.

Jonah had fun playing with the bigger cousins. Taryn is almost two years older, but just a few inches taller :)  She kept him busy with some kind of pretend/playing house game, running in and out of bedrooms, through the kitchen and all over the house.

Playing with Uncle Joel on Grandma Great's computer. Must have been something entertaining.

The Moser girls got tablets for Christmas, and they spent some time playing around with them. Jonah was very intrigued, but he mostly he kept his hands to himself and just let the girls play (although, he evidently has some things to learn about personal space - haha!)

Quadruple Coras!

Grandpa Great is something of a baby whisperer. Cora crawled right over and climbed up into his lap. Grandma Great was a friendly face, too.

Being silly.

After a few days, we made our way back to Des Moines, then back to Kansas the next morning. Funny story about the ride home. We were driving during the Packers/Lions game on Sunday afternoon. My dad couldn't find the game broadcast anywhere on the radio, so he had my mom pull up the game stats on his phone and read him the play-by-play commentary while he drove. Ha! Now that's a die-hard fan. Packers pulled out the win.
