Cora is ONE today! Our super sweet, silly, happy girl.
Here's a bit about Cora at one year old... Cora loves to interact and brings me things throughout the day - just to share or because she wants me to do something. She hugs her dollies and stuffed animals - pat, pat, pat - and wants me to do the same. Every friendly stranger gets a big smile. She gets super crabby when she's hungry. Cora imitates everything - including (and especially) her brother. She is so playful and still loves peek-a-boo. She also still loves clothes and regularly brings me whatever she can find so I can help her put it on.
What a fun age!
What a fun age!
We think Cora might be allergic to fish - she's had a few bad reactions, but nothing too serious. She continues to be a pretty picky eater, but can't-miss foods right now include blueberries, grapes, black beans, black olives and sauteed mushrooms. She is walking pretty steadily when she wants to, but mostly she prefers to crawl. And I am officially going to call her a blonde. Her hair has continued to lighten, and it no longer looks brown to me, especially right after a bath. She still has super dark brown eyes.
She has 8 teeth, wears size 9/12 months, and size 3 diapers. Her doctor's appointment was cancelled, so official stats will have to wait. Although, I think she seems smaller than her brother at this age.
Cora has been sick this week with a terrible respiratory virus that has disrupted sleep for everyone :( However, last week, she was sleeping like a rock star - sleeping 7:30pm to 6:30am at night, and napping twice a day for 1-2 hours. Hopefully we'll be able to get back into that routine after we kick this virus.

Brandon is on night-float this week, and Cora is still pretty wiped out from whatever this virus is, so we're having a pretty low-key day. Maybe we'll get to celebrate this weekend. We had a little mini-celebration at my parents' house before Christmas. I forgot to bring a candle, so we had to use a votive :) Cora wasn't too sure about the flame and had no interest in attempting to blow it out.
Happy 1st Birthday, Cora!
And just for fun, here are some random videos of Cora at this age...
