One of my favorite things about Kansas........ is January!
Seriously.
It has been grey and overcast and very winter the past few days. Generally this is that time of year where we settle in for the long haul and try to brace ourselves against the cold, relentless winter. But in Kansas we get these reprieves of sunshine and 50's (and 60's!!). Just what we needed - a chance to air out and get some fresh air. It will get cold(-ish) again....but for now, we will enjoy the sunshine.
After the kids' naps, we headed right outside (without coats!) to soak it up!

Jonah woke up from his nap in such a sour mood, even all that sunshine couldn't cure him. But Cora and I enjoyed running around, chasing a ball, and just generally thumbing our noses at winter.
I needed this.
