Something has really clicked for Cora, and the past few days she has been walking all over the place. I love this wobbly, independent stage. We officially have (another) toddler!
Cora got a little play kitchen for her birthday. The kids have really enjoyed playing with it, but of course her favorite part is the microwave - which is a too high for her to reach. (The buttons make noise). Fortunately (unfortunately?), she is resourceful and much more of a climber than Jonah ever was.
I didn't get a chance to blog about the rest of Bibi and Babu's New Year's visit, because of the sickness that visited our home. We spent a few days relaxing, opening some presents and hanging out. We had a fun outing to the Nifty Nut House, a fun Wichita find. Cheapest place to buy nuts, and they have any kind of candy you could imagine, including homemade fudge and truffles. They do all their own roasting in-house, and you can get chocolate-covered anything, and they make all their own mixes and seasoned nuts. So fun!
We also had lunch at the historic Doo-Dah Diner. We had a super long wait, but the kids did great, and the food was wonderful. Their return trip home was thwarted by snow again! This time the snow was here. Brandon took them to the airport for their late afternoon flight - which ended up being cancelled. So they stayed at a hotel by the airport, and flew out super early the next day. They are bravely planning another trip here in February! We appreciate the effort they make to come see us. Hopefully the snow will stay away next time :)
