Christmas in Iowa, part 1

Brandon had to work over Christmas, but the kids and I drove up to Iowa for a few days. We got to meet the two newest little Strutts - finally!! Bennett (Jon and Jaclyn) and Autumn (Rob and Whitney) were born just two weeks apart in November.

We spent a few days at Grandma and Grandpa's house and had lunch with the whole crew (minus Brandon and the Vargas') on Christmas Eve day. We did get to say hi to Jenny and the girls over Skype before lunch.

The Weldons arrived just as Cora was getting ready for a nap. This was the first time Joe had met Cora. She warmed up to him right away, and they had a good snuggle before (and after!) her nap. Joe didn't seem to mind :)

With three babies under one, there were lots of snuggles to go around.

It was a crazy, chaotic, loud afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa's :)  The next morning, the kids and I drove up to McGregor with Grandma and Grandpa to see some of the rest of the family. We spent Christmas day with the Henkes clan.

Jonah had a good time playing with the five Ruff girls (second cousins). At one point, they were getting pretty rowdy (and loud), and Grandma pulled out the iPad. That calmed things down quite a bit. I'm not sure Jonah even noticed he had an audience.
