More

Jonah knows a little bit of sign language and uses it appropriately...some of the time :)  By far, his favorite thing to sign is 'more', which he does by touching his pointer fingers together, or touching one pointer finger to his open hand.  He loves to ask for more food or to ask us to do something again - sing another song, read another book, toss him in the air again, etc.  Sometimes he will come up to me randomly and sign 'more' and 'please' (rub chest with hand) over an over...and I have no idea what he wants!

We were at my cousin's house this weekend, and Brandon was playing with a jack-in-the-box toy with Jonah.  It seemed to startle him quite a bit each time it POPPED up.  He would react, look like he might cry...and then sign 'more, please' for Brandon to do it again :)

Last week, Brandon got off pretty early one afternoon, so we walked to a park near our house.  On the way home Brandon was carrying Jonah and started singing a silly, upbeat song about a sailor.  Jonah immediately snuggled in and laid his head on Brandon's shoulder, which was kind of funny because it wasn't a very lullaby-y song.  But whenever Brandon stopped singing, Jonah's head would pop up and he'd sign 'more' until Brandon started singing again.  Then he would lay his head back down and gently pat Brandon's shoulder with his hand.  He knows what he likes, I guess.
