Watermelon Sticks

Jonah loves watermelon!! But it's so messy sometimes. Brandon read about a clever way to cut watermelon to make it a little easier to eat. We gave it a try the other night, and it works great! Although our messy boy still managed to get it everywhere :) Here is your 'How-to' for making 'watermelon sticks'

First, cut the watermelon in half and place it cut side down. Then slice the watermelon into 1.5 inch slices (or even smaller for little kids). Then rotate 90 degrees and slice again. Voila! Watermelon sticks. Hold by the rind and eat like a corn dog. Perfect for dipping in freshly whipped cream.

To each his own. Even Cora got in on it, nibbling on one of the dud edge pieces that are mostly rind without much melon flesh.

Happy summer!
