7 months!

Cora is seven months old!

Cora has two teeth and wears size 3 diapers and 9 month clothes. She jabbers and squeals and can still be quite dramatic. Her eyes are definitely brown; her hair is probably not blonde. Favorites include: splashing in the tub, her sippy cup, and Daddy. Cora is very generous with her smiles. She loves to stand. She has perfected her army crawl, no longer requiring a half roll to get going.

Cora's skin is horribly sensitive. She has pretty bad eczema inside her elbows and on the backs of her knees. It must bother her a bit, because she is often scratching at it - sometimes to the point of making herself bleed :( Because of this, I usually have to dress her in long sleeves and pants - even though she has a closet full of adorable dresses and even though it's been a HOT summer in Kansas. Some days, I try to put her in a dress, thinking maybe it won't be so bad....but I usually end up throwing a long-sleeve shirt on anyway, because she can't stop scratching. (and socks, because she scratches the back of her legs with her toes!) It's quite a look.

Cora loves to scrunch up her nose - I call this the 'stink face'

Scratch, scratch
We have really turned a corner with eating solids! She will now eat avocado, sweet potatoes, butternut squash and (sometimes) carrots without too much protest. Still not a fan of egg yolks or banana - maybe she has something against yellow foods?

Cora loves to play with balls, but often gets frustrated when they roll away (which they are apt to do when her wildly swinging arms get near them - seriously, this child is crazy-active and non-stop motion). Brandon came up with this solution to keep the balls contained.

Look what we unpacked!
