Catch up!

I've gotten way behind...so here's a photo dump to summarize what we've been up to (and what I've captured in pictures).

Warmer weather has arrived!

Which means dress season! Much to Cora's delight, it is easier to grab her clothes and shove them in her mouth when they are not attached at the bottom. Easier, although not very lady-like.

While we're on the subject of dresses... You know what's great about little girls' clothes? If you can't wear the super-cute 0-3m dress when it fits (because it's January in Iowa in the middle of the coldest winter EVER) - just wait until it gets a little warmer (and you get a little bigger), add a pair of leggings and re-purpose that super-cute dress as a super-cute shirt!

We went to the aquarium!
Easter weekend, we made a stop at the aquarium on our way to McGregor. We saw lots of interesting creatures and got to enjoy a (windy!) picnic lunch outside by the river before jumping back in the car for the rest of the drive.

At the aquarium we saw a red octopus, a shark, a 200 lbs alligator, and an entire exhibit of turtles and tortoises - just to name a few!  There is also an entire museum devoted to the history of rivers generally, and specifically the Mississippi River, that we didn't have time to look at.  It was a fun little pit-stop.

Enjoying a little sunshine while we picnic-ed by the river
...before we got back in the car and this sleepy boy did NOT nap :(
Easter!
We spent Easter weekend in McGregor this year. It was Cora's first time meeting Grandma and Grandpa Henkes!

We also spent some time at Grandma and Grandpa Great's. Cora and Gretel got to hang out a bit.

And Jonah enjoyed playing with the older Moser kids

And of course, we took the obligatory family picture - it's getting harder to capture Jonah smiling in group photos

We decided to head back after lunch on Sunday. Both kids were out before we got out of town and slept the whole ride home! I guess the busy weekend wore them out!!  Not sure when we'll be able to get up  to McGregor again, so it was nice to make one last trip and see everyone before we move.

Stripey Sibs :)

The Park
We're trying to soak up all our favorite things about Iowa City as our time here winds down. We will definitely miss having a great park just a quick walk away - so we're trying to take advantage of that while we can.

Strike a pose
Whenever I pull out my camera to take pictures of Cora, Jonah suddenly thinks having his picture taking is the coolest thing ever! And for some reason, he thinks posing for a picture means laying awkwardly on his side with one arm stretched out and one are reaching up.  Like this:

 And this...

Two year pictures
I tried to get some good "two year" pictures of Jonah this weekend - better late than never! Except the location we chose was right next to some tennis courts where there was a riveting game of cricket going on. I had a hard time keeping his attention and keeping him still enough to photograph. These are the best we got.

Maybe we'll try again this weekend :)

That's all for now!!
