Life Lately

It's been a busy week!  Here's a quick run-down of what we've been up to lately.

We took the rail off of Jonah's bed. The first night went great! Then the second night, he fell out of bed a few hours after he went to sleep. Oops! He has not had any issues since - except for one nap time this past week when he fell (dove?) head-first into the space between his bed and the shelf next to it. Brandon went in to check on him when we heard him screaming, and all he could see was Jonah's feet sticking up in the air, thrashing around.  Goofy kid.

Miss Cora is still working on rolling over onto her tummy. She generally gets her lower half rolled over, but can't seem get her elbow out of the way and lift her big melon head off the ground :)

So, she just hangs out here, kind of half rolled.

Cora was dedicated at church over Mother's Day weekend.  Grandma & Grandpa and Uncle Rob & Aunt Whitney were able to celebrate with us. It was a little bittersweet, though, as it was our last time worshiping together with that body of believers, who have been such a big part of our time in Iowa City. We will miss our church and the friendships we made here in Iowa City.

We also enjoyed dinner together, and Jonah even tried some of Uncle Bob's sushi. He's a fan!

Most of our week, however, looked like this.... 

....as the packing has begun.  But we're making progress.  Slowly.

Seven years of hard work - including international travel, many publications, many many of hours of studying, working and clinicals (and two babies!) - all culminated in one big celebration last night.  I am SO proud of Brandon and what he has accomplished! Finally a doctor (doctor)! What a joy to be on this journey alongside him. I can't wait for our next adventure.

I have more to write about the weekend's festivities, but that deserves a post of its own! It was a quick trip for the Michiganders, but we had a great time celebrating Brandon and all his hard work!  Great ending to a busy, but good week.

One week left in Iowa! I can't believe it's almost over.
