Cora is four months!
At four months, Cora is very playful and easy-going. She loves blowing raspberries, sucking on her fingers, and Sophie giraffe. Her greatest joy is being sung to and danced around the room. Anytime I change her diaper or her clothes (or really, get my hands close to her for any reason), her little hands fly out and grab a hold of my arm, my hand, my fingers - anything she can latch onto. Life is getting pretty busy as we prepare for our move, but Cora is generally content to lay on the floor and play with her toes while she watches her brother zoom around the room. She has a flair for the dramatic when she's sleepy or hungry.

Hair. By this age, Jonah's hair was turning decidedly blonde. Cora seems to be hanging onto her dark hair. She has two cowlicks in the back and one right in the middle of her forehead - which makes for some crazy 'dos. There's a patch in the back that refuses to lay flat. She has also rubbed a nice bald spot on the back of her (slightly misshapen) head from twisting around to watch Jonah's constant motion. And we don't do headbands too often, because they lay right on top of her hemangioma. It's tough being a girl :)
Books. Cora loves to be read to. Her eyes get really big, her arms and legs flap, and she really gets to talking. And if you're laying next to her, she will reach out her hand and touch your face/head/shoulder while you read. Cora has also recently started making a screeching noise that sounds like a cat being tortured. It's awful. She makes this noise when she's just a little mad or really excited. It's sort of obnoxious, and sort of hilarious. ...And we hope she outgrows it soon. Here is Brandon reading the kids "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom," which apparently, Cora found really exciting :)
Comparison Shot. I took this picture of Cora the other day, and it reminded me of one I took of Jonah when he was just a little bit older. How could you not love a mug like that :)
Four months in, and we are loving sweet Cora. It just keeps getting better!
