Jonah was not in the mood for pictures this morning, but he is 11 months old today! Brandon and I remark almost daily that he seems more little boy than baby. Such a privilege to watch him grow and change and learn!
He still loves books. I am always amazed by how long a stack of books can keep him occupied. He still loves to turn the pages and point at different things in the book. He still likes to have books read to him, as well, and sometimes he cries when we get to the end of the book. He also cries when his musical toys stop or the song ends. Or when Brandon stops juggling. Sensitive soul :)
Mover. Jonah is our busy boy and is constantly on the move. Anytime there is music (or even just a steady beat, like our washing machine on spin cycle) he is moving. His signature move is a little wiggle/shimmy thing. But he's always so serious when he does it.
Words. Jonah is almost always chattering and babbling like crazy, but I think we are also beginning to enter the "real words" phase. His vocabulary includes Mama, Dada, baby, water (wah-wah), duck (guck), and brrr. He also has words for ball, block, book and button - but they all sounds the same: buh. :)
Other new things this month: Loves to shake things in his hands - his sock, a toy, a handkerchief. Can follow simple commands - put this in the cup, bring me the ball, etc. Looks for himself behind the mirror - I love to watch him peek his little head back and forth as he tries to figure it out.
One more month until our baby is ONE year old!
