Meadowlark Farms has become a family favorite: Peaches in June, apples in the fall - and this year: Strawberries in May!
This is the first time we have picked strawberries at Meadowlark. We have had So Much rain the past week and a half. But the skies looked relatively clear Saturday morning, so we drove down to the farm, joined by some friends, the Tibbes and the McCoys. It was super muddy and sprinkling just a little. But we had fun squishing in the muck and filling our baskets.
After we all picked, we invited everyone back to our house for strawberries and fresh whipped cream. The strawberries were actually not that great for fresh picked. Oh well, it was still a fun (and very muddy!) morning with good friends.
