We signed the kids up for swim lessons this month. The classes are a little less crowded than the summer sessions, and the kids have made great progress! Cora and Esther are in a class by themselves, and Jonah is in a class with 4 students and two teachers (I think one of them is training).
Esther started in Level 2 (floats and glides). She still hasn't mastered this level, but she made some good progress, and gave her teacher plenty of spice.
Cora started in Level 3 (kicking), and she was very close to moving up by the end of the four weeks! She is a teacher's dream; she listens very carefully and always tries her best to do exactly what is asked. It's fun to see her gain more independence.
Jonah started in Level 4, but was immediately bumped up to Level 5 (freestyle - using bilateral breathing, swimming 30 feet to move up). Halfway through the month he moved onto Level 6 (backstroke; 25 yard freestyle; tread water for 1 minute to move up). And then on the last day of the session, he moved up to Level 7 - breaststroke and butterfly! He worked hard at every lesson and really made some great improvements.
Levi got to hang out pool side with me - such is the life of the baby of the family :)
