Bibi and Babu flew out to Kansas for their fall visit. Despite having snow in mid-October, we had beautiful weather for their visit! They arrived super late Thursday night, but came over Friday morning to say hello. We packed up and headed to Applejack Pumpkin Patch. Cora, especially, was looking forward to this visit. It was actually Jonah's third visit this fall - once with our co/op friends, once with some sweet friends from church who took Jonah to get him out of the house while Cora and Levi were sick - and now Cora finally got to come along :)
Applejack has lots of fun activities: Duck races, zipline, jumping pillow, slide, rat race, corn maze, barrel train, and tons of playground equipment to climb on. The kids ran around for quite a while, then we made our way down to the pumpkin patch!
We let each of the kids pick out a pumpkin. Cora and Jonah quickly picked out the largest pumpkins they could locate. And Esther meandered slowly around nearly the entire patch, before finally convincing Bibi to let her choose two very distinct, green-ish pumpkins :)
Brandon actually had to work a shift overnight out of town on Friday, but we did get to see him briefly between clinic and his heading out of town. On Saturday morning, we drove out to Augusta to play at Castle Park. The weather was again beautiful, and we also spent some time walking around the nearby Augusta Lake. We stopped for lunch at a Mexican place on the way home, then everyone crashed for naps (including Brandon, who only got about 4 hours of sleep the night before!).
On Sunday morning, we went up to Chisolm Creek Trails to do some exploring. Again, the weather was great! So nice to be outside this time of year. The only picture I got was of the nearly full moon over the tree line. We are having one of the most colorful falls I can remember in Wichita!! The trees are so beautiful all over town!!
Bibi and Babu had to take off in the afternoon to catch their flight back to Michigan. We look forward to joining them there in a few weeks when we travel to Michigan for Thanksgiving :)
