Esther is 5 months old today!
She continues to be a super chill baby. I estimate she's about 16lbs., which is a hair bigger than Cora was at the 6 month check up! She's into 9-12 month clothing, and almost out of size 2 diapers. She definitely seems much bigger to me than Cora was as a baby.
She's still sleeping 13-14 hours most nights! Often waking just once to eat, but sometimes up two or three times. She's our late riser, often up 1-2 hours after the other two. Naps are going well, but still very erratic and unpredictable. Some of that is a product of our busy schedule - we are not home consistently. She rolls with the punches, though.

| Third child, and I'm still trying to get the hang of "baby wearing" ....This is a bad example, haha! |
She has mastered rolling back-to-front, to the point where she flips almost immediately any time you lay her on her back. She still spits up quite a bit, especially when she's on her tummy just after eating. Which means, she often winds up playing in her spit up almost anytime you lay her down. Gross!
Another milestone this month is sitting up! She is certainly not stable, but she will sit for 10-15 seconds at a time and is starting to catch herself and correct little wobbles. She flops backwards or sideways quite a bit, though. Thankfully, her core is finally stable enough that I can carry her places in one arm and have the other free to manage the other two, so that I'm not having to lug her around in the car seat anymore - she was getting to heavy for that!
Esther loves to bounce! She enjoys the jumperoo in the gym child care and the church nursery. But at home she has to settle for a bouncy seat and the excersaucer (which spins, but does not bounce). She also drools like crazy! My other two babies did not drool this much - she is constantly soaking the front of her shirt and any toy within reach. We go through a lot of laundry.
She is a bundle of sweetness and joy, and we just love our Esther girl :)
