We're on the move! We moved out of our condo on Friday, May 23. But we've been taking a round-about route as we make our way down to Wichita. Here's a round up of what we've been up to lately...
First good-bye (of many). We had one final dinner get-together with our small group. We are sad to say good-bye to our church and especially our small group.
Packing! Brandon finished up school, and we had a few weeks to pack up everything we own. It was the beginning of what has been a chaotic few weeks, especially for the kids. Jonah has had a rough time through this transition - but we've tried to help him feel included and help out whenever we could. Sweet Cora was a TROOPER during the packing. The day before we left, we finished some last-minute packing, and then loaded (almost) all of our belongings into our (much smaller than anticipated) storage containers. Big shout-out to Brandon for his perseverance and determination to make it all fit.
It was a busy, hectic day - but the kids did pretty great. At one point, I looked over at Cora, and she was buried under her puppy blanket! She didn't make a peep, but her arms were flailing around wildly :)
Grand Rapids. From Morrice, we traveled to the west side of Michigan for a long weekend with college friends. It is always fun to see these friends. This trip was no exception - although also a little bittersweet because we may not see these friends for a long, long time. I love 'doing life' with these friends, even from a distance.
This same group gathered two years ago, and there were five babies in the group that summer:
Final legs. Tomorrow we head back to Iowa for some more good-byes and a stop at Grandma and Grandpas. THEN we will finally be on our way to Wichita. Every time we drive somewhere in the car, Jonah pipes up from the back seat, "Driving to Wichita." Pretty soon, Buddy!

We spent the night in our nearly empty apartment, and then hit the road and headed.... EAST! The kids were champs on the drive. Jonah piled every toy and book we brought into and around his car seat, and Cora mostly slept :)
Morrice. We spent nearly a week in Morrice seeing family and enjoying the beautiful Michigan weather. We spent lots of time with Bibi and Babu, saw a parade (with LOUD firetrucks, lots of tractors, and teeny-tiny marching bands), visited Aunt Julie and Uncle David's farm (where Jonah touched animals!), and had a big family picnic to celebrate Brandon's graduation (and so everyone could meet Cora :)

While we were home, we found this picture of Brandon, Erin and Jonah....I mean, Caleb. Wow, I've always thought Jonah looks like Brandon, but I guess he has a little Uncle Caleb in him, too.
AND, while we were in Michigan ..... we bought a MINIVAN! Yay!

Since then, all five kids have added a younger sibling - plus the three that followed shortly after in 2012-13 brings the total to thirteen, with two more on the way! We made sure to get a picture of the kids who were here for the weekend.
