5 months!

Cora is FIVE months...and a few days :)

Cora turned five months old the first morning we woke up in our new house!  We were knee-deep in boxes then, and there was not much blogging happening. But here's a bit about Cora at five months (plus a few days).

Cora still LOVES books. She loves to hold them and look at them. She also loves if you read them to her, but she loves chewing on them the most. She continues to be pretty laid-back and smiley. Sleeping has improved (for everyone!) since we settled here in Wichita - although Cora can't seem to sleep more than three hours in a row, even at night :/  We're also still working on naps. She will sometimes go for more than an hour, but mostly she sleeps in 40 minute segments.  She sure wakes up happy, though!  Even Jonah still wakes up crying some days.

Right before we left Iowa, she mastered rolling back-to-tummy, and now she rolls all over the place. She is still quite fascinated with Jonah and is delighted whenever he gets close enough (and slows down long enough) to reach out and touch. In fact, she loves to touch all faces. This is such a playful and delightful age. Cora is still a noisy baby. As a newborn, she grunted. Then she had her cat-shrieking phase. Thankfully that was short-lived. These days, she can be heard growling as she attempts to propel her body forward or sideways or backwards. Her desire to move seems to be leaps ahead of her motor skills, but this girl is determined.  We are lovin' sweet Cora, our Kansas girl.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!!
