8 months

Our little guy is 8 months old today!

At eight months, Jonah...

 - is still rocking size 12 months clothes and size 3 diapers.  Though he is growing, I swear!
 - still has two teeth.  I thought maybe there was another one coming in...but it hasn't made it's appearance yet.
 - is starting to imitate actions (clapping hands, "so big," etc.) - we're still working on waving and blowing kisses.  This is such a fun, interactive age!
 - Seems to recognize/respond to his name!
 - is the world's slowest eater!  He's not too picky, thankfully.  But he sure takes his sweet time.  Except for egg yolks...we can't seem to shovel those in quickly enough.
 - has a few favorite pastimes:  a good game of peek-a-boo, obsessing over the CD player in our living room (is it the lighted numbers, the noise?...not sure), and looking at himself in the mirror.

Jonah loves to sit in front of the full length mirror in our bedroom.  

He talks to himself, claps his hands and gives lots of kisses

Dad likes to have structured activities with Jonah in the evenings when he comes home from work.  They've been working on clapping songs (B-I-N-G-O, pat-a-cake, If you're happy and you know it...).  But lately, they've been doing "Dad's Gym."  Brandon is bound and determined to get this boy crawling.  So they strength train.  Brandon rigged up a Jonah-friendly fitness bar out of a broom handle and two chairs.  

They work on sit ups, to strengthen his core:

He's a hard worker, this kid.
