Leaves

We made a quick trip up to McGregor this weekend to see the leaves and enjoy a boat ride.  It was CHILLY.  But it was a fun trip, nonetheless.  We brought along a few friends from Iowa City.  We were told we just missed the peak, but the colors were still pretty awesome.  Fall would be more enjoyable if it did not signal the impending arrival of winter :(

Old town McGregor, from the river
Boat houses on the water...these will all be pulled in and stored for winter soon

With Mama :)
My cousin, Nichole, and her husband, Joel, were in town for the weekend to see a play.  They joined us for our ride and stayed for dinner.  Jonah enjoyed Nichole's jewelry.

My mom was busy working away at The Old Man, so she couldn't join us for the boat ride.
But she snuck away for a little bit to squeeze in some Jonah time.

Reading with Grandma!

Before we hit the road back to Iowa City, Jonah got in some good playtime with little Ellie.  She is three months younger than him - and about half his size!
