The little dude is 3 months old today.
Some interesting facts: At three months old, Jonah...
- Is still squeezing into some 3 month clothes, but mostly 3-6 month, or straight up 6 month.
- Wears size 2 diapers.
- Eats 6-8 times per day.
- Wears size 2 diapers.

- Is really long. Long in the torso (from Dad) and really long arms (from Mom).
- Loves to look at faces the most. He is still all smiles and dimples. Occasionally we can get a good belly laugh out of him. When he is particularly delighted, he smiles with his whole body: his head rolls, he lets out a big screech, and all four limbs start pumping and flailing. What a joy.
- Still hates loud, sudden noises. He is so jumpy. He'll usually startle, freeze for a moment, and then his little lip comes out. Sometimes he recovers, sometimes he starts wailing.
- Still spits up a lot :( This is particularly annoying to Dad. Jonah doesn't seem to mind.
- Seems to have better dexterity in his monkey toes than his hands. This is especially evident when he can see his toes...like when he's in his car seat. We had lots of opportunities to practice during our many, many hours in the van on the way to Colorado.

- Loves any and all fabric and cloth. Small blanket, burp cloth, bib, dirty sock. I think it's because cloth is easy for him to grab and bring to his mouth. His favorite game is "Does it still fit?" This entails lying on the floor while Mommy takes various articles of clothing out of the dresser and lays them on top of Jonah like a paper doll. Guaranteed smiles every time. He loves to grab the clothes and try to eat them...but Mommy knows there's a deeper purpose. Namely: Does this still fit? Who knew wardrobe management would be such a time consuming pursuit?
- Is becoming very vocal. He loves to have "conversations," and his face can be quite expressive. He has been known to carry on long conversations with his bug friends that hang out on his car seat...we often wonder if they ever talk back to him.
- Gives us a 7, 8, sometimes 9 hour stretch of sleep at night. Glorious. Now, if Mom and Dad could just get themselves to bed when Jonah goes to sleep...they could enjoy an 8 hour stretch of uninterrupted sleep, as well!

- Tolerates tummy time pretty well. He rarely rolls over to his back anymore. The pediatrician warned that this "regression" might happen as his belly gets larger. We've also started incorporating some time in the Bumbo seat into our morning workout - gotta work on that core body strength. And he still loves to stand up while being held, so he can look around.
It is such a delight to watch this little boy grow and develop. Thank you, Jonah, for being patient with us as we try to figure out this whole parenthood thing.
