A couple of weekends ago, my brother, Jon, was scheduled to work a few shifts at a hospital in Des Moines. The same weekend, my brother, Rob, and brother-in-law, Aaron were also going to be in Des Moines for a Backpocket meeting. The sisters got to talking, and decided they would all tag along and bring the kids for a cousin play date. I heard about their plan -- and it just happened that Brandon was going to be out of town, moonlighting in rural Kansas that weekend. So I packed up the kids and made the drive to Des Moines to join in the fun. We had a blast. It was a busy, busy (loud!) Saturday at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Jon ran himself raged entertaining the kids, running them to the playground, pulling them around the yard in a sled -- all before working an overnight shift at the hospital! The kids loved playing with their cousins, and it's always fun to see the littlest ones as often as we can - they grow so fast! We were just missing the Weldon boys.
Photographing 10 kids, age five and under, is no easy feat, but this one turned out pretty great :)
