Esther 2 months

As of yesterday, Esther is two months old!

She is a great eater (has been from the beginning), and an equally bad sleeper. Okay, she's not terrible. Once she's asleep for the night, she does great, generally waking twice to eat in a 12 hour period, and going back down fairly easily. She is almost impossible to put down initially, though. She fights going to sleep, and sometimes it's a three hour process from the time I feed her until she is finally quiet. Naps have also been a struggle. She likes to be in motion - rocking, walking, in the swing, in the car, etc. We are working on her napping in her crib. She typically will take one long nap sometime in the middle of the day, and several other short 30-45 minute naps throughout the day.

Esther is super smiley and social and has started "talking" - so fun! She is definitely not as laid back at the other two were as babies, but not a difficult baby, by any means. She loves to be sung to! And enjoys laying on her play mat looking at the hanging toys.  In the first few weeks, I thought she looked so much like Jonah's baby pictures. But these days, I definitely see a lot more of Cora in her. Although, she has her own unique look.

Our Esther-girl :)
She seems to be much bigger than Cora at this age - I guess she did start off a pound heavier!  We'll get official stats in a few weeks. Esther is quickly outgrowing 3 month clothing. The other kids are still very fond of her, asking often to hold her.

Jonah keeps asking when he will get to pick her up and carry her.  Umm....probably never. Haha! This has been a very busy stretch with adjusting to a newborn and Brandon's crazy work schedule. But in a few weeks, Brandon is done with in-patient stuff for the rest of Year 2. Hallelujah! Hopefully life will slow down a bit....but probably not :)
