Aunt Katie made the drive over from Denver last weekend, and we had a great time with her here! She left her boys at home, so she was free for lots of baby snuggles, and she was also super helpful - playing with the big kids, helping with meals and even washing dishes :) She also offered to get up early with the big kids so Brandon and I could sleep in a bit longer! It was a quick visit, but so fun.
On Saturday morning, we hung out the library for a bit, then came home for lunch and naps. After dinner, we went for ice cream at Churn and Burn - a place just up the street from our house. where the ice cream is made-to-order right in front of you using Liquid Nitrogen!
Katie also brought an early birthday present for Jonah - a Lego set. He has enjoyed playing with Legos Bibi and Babu brought for Christmas, but this was his first "set", and he had did really well following the instructions and putting it together. It is a working garbage truck, complete with dumpster (and tiny Lego trash) that you can lift and empty into the truck. Brandon assisted with the process, and I think it stressed him out a bit (our spazzy, non-stop motion boy + all those tiny pieces) - but he was super impressed with how quickly Jonah picked it up and how excited he was to see it all come together.
We enjoyed breakfast out on Sunday morning, then Katie was on her way back home! Super fun visit, thanks for making the drive, Katie :)
