We had a visit from Bibi and Babu a few weeks ago! We special-ordered fabulous spring weather just for our Michigan guests - and we were not disappointed. We had several days of beautiful weather. Babu even washed our vehicles one day! He loves to keep busy while he's here....we can't complain :)
It was fun to have Bibi and Babu here during the week to experience a bit of our day-to-day life. Jonah was excited to bring Bibi along to "Early Literacy Readiness" - a preschool-like program sponsored by the YMCA that we attend each week. We also made a trip to the zoo one morning. The zoo is still one of Jonah's favorite things to do. He especially loves to check out the map and figure out where we're headed next.
Cora gets a little nervous around the animals. But I think she still had a good time :)
We really enjoyed our visit with Bibi and Babu - but unfortunately, the week ended on a not-so-great note. They arrived on a Monday morning, and then some time Monday night, Cora vomited all over herself :( She slept away most of Tuesday. And then Wednesday afternoon, it was Jonah's turn :( And THEN, Bibi and I were both up all night Wednesday night getting sick. Double bummer.
Bibi and Babu were supposed to fly back to Michigan on Thursday, but their flight was cancelled due to weather in Chicago. (They have flown here 4 times, and their return flights have been delayed or cancelled the last 3 times!!). They ended up staying at a hotel by the airport, then going back to the airport at 5am to try and fly standby. They were able to get on a flight at 11am, and made it back to Michigan by dinner time.....only 18 hours later than originally scheduled!
Hopefully they still think it was worth it!
