Words

Two things that are cracking me up today:

Bonk!
Jonah is always on the move, it seems.  He likes to go fast, which means he falls down A LOT. (Maybe all toddlers do??).  This is really unfortunate because he takes every tumble and bump pretty hard - we are working on toughening him up.  He used to point out the offending object - the corner of the table, the wall, the sidewalk, etc - but was unable to tell us where he was hurt. But now, when he takes a tumble, he lets us know by saying "Bonk!"  Then he points to the perceived injury and names the body part (finger, knee, toe, or most often: head) - and immediately follows with, "Kiss it"  Kisses usually make it all better.


Potty Mouth
Jonah sometimes pronounces his "S" with a bit of a lisp - more like "sh".  The other morning, I was brushing my teeth, so he followed me into the bathroom (naturally), and proceeded to point at the toilet, telling me over an over that the potty is where we "sit". It sure is.

Kids are the best entertainment!!
