9 months (+ stats)

Jonah is nine months old today!  He was born on an unseasonably warm first day of Spring, and today, one day shy of the first day of winter, is the first snow of the season - and a blizzard, at that!  Hope you are staying warm.

Here are his official stats from the doctor today:

Weight:  19lbs 3oz (43rd percentile)
Height:  28.25" (47th percentile)

And some unofficial stats:

Wearing size 3 diapers and size 12 (occasionally 18) month clothing
Has 3 teeth - two on the bottom, and one on the top just started breaking through

And some fun facts about Jonah at 9 months:

 - Mobility.  Jonah is officially crawling - finally!  He started crawling just yesterday...but still prefers to inch-worm most of the time.  He gets around really well, and pulls himself up on everything.  He is still a very curious and active little boy.

Here Jonah crawled through the bookcase...and right out of his pants :)

Sometimes he scoots over to the chair, and then does
squats - up and down, up and down

 - Food.  He'll eat pretty much anything, although favorites still include avocado and bananas.  Now he eats them chunked instead of mashed or pureed.  Other favorites are peas, which he spears with the tip of his index finger before transporting delicately to his mouth, and roasted parsnips.
 - Details.  Jonah is a details guy.  He'll finger a button on your shirt or the tiny eyes on the kitty in a picture book.  He is an expert at finding stray popcorn kernels on the kitchen floor.  He loves screws and zippers and itty-bitty strings.  He also loves tiny spaces.  He will weasel his way into any little space...and then get mad when he can't get out.
