My favorite birthday tradition - a made-from-scratch cake from Brandon. This year was a throwback: Chocolate cupcake, with peanut butter frosting - plus a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup hidden inside each cupcake :) Peanut butter and chocolate, always a winning combination. Plus, a sparkler candle!!
On Friday, for my birthday, Brandon took me to a local children's theater production of Fiddler on the Roof. Plus, one of my neighbors stopped by at noon bearing a mocha, flowers, and a slice of chocolate cake. And another neighbor offered to have my older kids over to play for a few hours during Levi's afternoon nap, so I got a few hours of quiet to myself :) It was a good day.
