Levi has been pretty slow to speak. He has slowly accumulated a handful of words:
Mama, Dada
Eat, up, shoe, chair, yes, no, water
Several body parts: hair, eye, ear, teeth
Plus, a plethora of "B" words:
Bed, bath, ball, baby, belly, brush, "bonk", bubble, Bibi, Babu, bar (as in, granola bar - haha)
But he has steadfastly refused to say his own name, or any of the kids' names - though he does call the neighbor's dog, Nala, by name. He won't attempt to repeat anything we say, actually.
Until today. All of a sudden, this morning, he started parroting anything we say! He says the kids' names. He strings two words together (mostly "more" + whatever he wants more of). He uses words spontaneously. It's amazing! Something clicked, and suddenly, he can communicate. I love, love, love this age!
