Here's a quick update/photo dump of some things we've been up to this month :)
Brandon's been working with Jonah on riding a bike without training wheels. Jonah hates the feeling of being off balance, but also doesn't want to go fast (which makes it harder to balance) - so he screamed the whole first time out, haha.
Many Friday nights, if the weather is nice, Brandon will build a fire so we can make s'mores! This particular Friday, we had chocolate graham cracker + marshmallow + Hershey's chocolate bar + peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookie on top! Fancy :)
Last weekend, we ventured out to a new (to us) park to check out some walking trails. Levi fell asleep in the Ergo, but held onto his pacifier the whole time! Love to explore with this crew :)
This week, I read "The House that Jack Built" with Cora and Esther. for our craft, I gave them all the pieces of a house and let them "build" their own house - with no direction from me. I love Cora's ingenuity with the chimney. Esther employed my favorite toddler gluing technique of stacking all the pieces directly on top of each other :) Cora helped her with the tree.
Esther's been in a bit of a nap-rebellion. Last week, the only nap she took was in the van on the way home from co-op! But this week, we seem to be getting back on track. Cora and Esther both crashed hard for naps this particular day...and were super crabby when I woke them up. They both wanted to snuggle with me - but did Not want to share my lap with the other.
We are still working on potty training with Esther. It's been quite a long, drawn out process...BUT we seem to finally be making some progress - hooray! Jonah and Cora are super supportive of Esther in this process....or maybe they just enjoy being incidental beneficiaries of my efforts to bribe a feisty two-year old to sit still.
Peaches!
We finally made it out to Meadowlark Farm to pick some peaches. The kids were good pickers, but didn't last too long. After we brought them home, Cora discovered that she LOVES peaches, and has been pretty peach-obsessed since then. Also, the entire time we were at the farm, Esther kept telling me that "peaches make Daniel (Tiger) itchy - he's allergic to peaches!" It must have been an impactful episode.

The girls, however, think his bike is pretty cool.
