It's a boy!
Levi David Alleman was born in the wee hours of the morning on Friday, March 16 - two days late (or 1 day early, depending on which due date you use). He is named after Grandpa David Strutt.
Official Stats:
Born at 4:47am
Weight: 8lbs, 12oz
Length: 20.5"
After nearly a week of contractions that started and stopped (usually at night, ugh), I woke up Friday morning just before 2am. After 4 contractions in 15 minutes, I decided to wake Brandon. We woke up Katie and let her know we were heading into the hospital. Within an hour, we were settled into our room, and two hours after that - he was here!
We had actually scheduled parent-teacher conferences with Jonah's teacher for 8:30 that morning....so before they even moved me over to the postpartum wing, Brandon took off for that - ha! After conferences, he went home to help Katie round up the kids and bring them to the hospital to meet their baby brother. They were positively giddy when they came into the room. Everyone was smitten immediately <3 <3 <3

Katie took the kids home for lunch and naps, then to a fun park for the afternoon, and then everyone came back up to the hospital for pizza dinner and more Levi snuggles. Brandon snuck off to the clinic to see a patient. Levi and I napped off and on for the rest of the day.
Levi is roly and plump, like all our other babies. But he has a fabulous head of hair! Several cowlicks result in a perfect faux hawk whenever his hair is freshly washed.
Welcome little Levi, we're so glad you're here!!
