My favorite birthday tradition - a homemade cake for my birthday! Even after all these years trying to convince me to eat Paleo, Brandon still makes an exception for this tradition :) For this year's installment, Brandon found a recipe for Lemon Cheesecake, yum!
The kids helped with the baking this year, and they got to enjoy the fruits of their labor. We all agreed: It was lick-your-plate good !!
We got a sitter for the night of my birthday (a Wednesday). Brandon and I enjoyed a nice dinner out, then found a place to watch the final game of the world series. It turned out to be a snoozer of a game - and we didn't even make it until the end (hey, it was a school night) - but we did enjoy uninterrupted time together. Brandon did a great job helping the kids make me feel celebrated. A great way to usher in my 35th year!
